Travel Notes of a Tour Guide

As the main purpose was still a cat show, we spent two days in Kristina Sport Hall, where the cat show took place.

As we were travelling with cats, we had to choose a hotel allowing pets. Academic Hostel was nice, clean, very friendly.

We spent two evenings exploring the old Tallinn.

The last day of our visit was totally dedicated to Old Tallinn. We just fell in love with the city!!!

The cathedral of St. Prince Alexander Nevsky is a Russian Orthodox Church in Old Tallinn, founded by the last Romanov - Nicholas II.
Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures inside. |

Going to the city wall, climbing the three towers open for tourists - I had no idea it was possible to get so much fun just for 10 krones (=20 roubles)

Oliviste Church is considered to be the oldest in the city. It is believed that the church existed in the 12th century, though the first time it was mentioned in chronicles in 1267.
The church aqcuired its present-day look in the 15th century. We walked in and listened to organ music. |

Luckily, there was no service at that time and we were allowed to take pictures inside.

We had lunch in Beerhouse, tasted home brewed beer (even Andrey had a beer - alcohol-free ;-)
